With over 35 years of frontline experience in custodial, security, and care environments, Mike Bird will play a key role in strengthening client relationships and ensuring the company continues to exceed expectations in safety and protection.

Mike Bird’s extensive background includes 20 years in the UK prison service, where he specialised in the Use of Force and served as a National Instructor at the National Tactical Response Group (NTRG). His expertise in managing highly hostile, challenging, and complex individuals led him to establish his own company, providing training consultancy and operational advice to police and prison services across Abu Dhabi, Oman, Macedonia, Nigeria, The Hague, and the UK. More recently, he has worked with Secure Children’s Homes and Young Offender Institutes, advising senior managers on handling complex young detainees.

In his new role at PPSS Group, Mike Bird will be responsible for enhancing customer engagement, gathering critical feedback, and introducing the company’s latest product innovations to key stakeholders.
